Casting Services
Many people are still not aware of the fact that there are casting
services online that allow you to represent yourself, while also
providing the opportunity for agents and producers to find you by
looking on the Internet using web casting services which act as a
go-between that gathers viable acting opportunities in one data base
and then matches them with the talent on their roster.
People sometimes actually pay hundreds, even thousands of dollars to
be represented by casting services that oftentimes will not find them
work for an entire year. Using an online service you have the
ability to submit yourself directly to the people producing the
project, as their email has been sent to you along with a description
of the role that you have been matched with. Casting services have
now truly moved into the information age.
Casting services that treat you like a number, and then forget the
number, and then don't understand (or have any good answer for) why
they haven't sent you on an audition for six months? That stuff's for
the birds. Birds aren't trying to become actors, but you are.
Discontinue the use of any casting services that aren't living up to
your expectations. Do some research and try a couple of new ways of
looking for work that will get you results.
